The Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Gwent Dame Claire Clancy DCB DL attended the Army Engagement event at Lewis School Pengam on 8th February.
The event was an ideal opportunity to show the Lieutenancy’s support for the British Army and for the audience to gain a greater understanding of who they are and what they do and how they contribute to society. There was a multi-media presentation which included video footage of soldiers in training and on operations, as well as hearing from people throughout the Army community, both soldiers and their families. After the presentation there was the opportunity to talk to soldiers and cadets.
